From Surviving to Leading
Our Founder – Apolonia Sarkis
Her academic foundation includes a Bachelor’s in English Language & Literature, a Master’s in Psychology, postgraduate studies in Coaching & Mentoring, Basic Accreditation for Recruitment and Employee Development, as well as international certifications including CIPD Level 5 in People Management and Neuro Change Method Practitioner accreditation.
Over the years, Apolonia has designed scalable HR frameworks, implemented performance and leadership development systems, led DEI and culture programs, and guided organizations through rapid growth, restructuring, and digital transformation.
But amid these enriching experiences in highly respected organizations, she observed a consistent pattern:
HR was too often viewed as a support function—not a strategic partner.
In many cases, Human Resources lacked sufficient presence at the decision-making table. Key business strategies were set without truly integrating the people lens. Resources were allocated to operations, sales, and tech—while people operations were underfunded, siloed, or reactive.
This disconnect had visible consequences: employee disengagement, culture misalignment, talent attrition, and unfulfilled leadership pipelines. And yet, at the core of every organization’s potential is one undeniable truth:
People are not just a resource — they are the advantage.
It was from this insight that Elevate was born.
